Microsoft goes after Android mobile phone manufacturers
In a recent deal between Samsung & Microsoft, Microsoft will get a $5 royalty fee per device.
This deal was struck on the grounds that Microsoft holds patents for some technologies found in certain Android features.
In the past 9 months, Microsoft has gone after many Android Mobile phone and Tablet manufacturers, like HTC, ViewSonic, Acer.
“Microsoft has found a new cash cow” is what is being said about Microsoft, trying to get a slice from everyone’s profit.
There are many more manufacturers who are yet to come under the cross-hairs, like Dell, Sony, Sony Ericsson, Asus, LG and Toshiba.
Currently, Microsoft hasn’t made any move to suggest that its going to sue Google over Android.
Mark Lemley, A Law professor said “Large companies in the IT industry normally avoid suing each other directly”.

Google to other Social Networking Sites – Watch out, Here I come
Google dropped its 12 week invitation only trail of Google+, which attracted millions of users.
Now, Google+ is open to public. Anyone with a Google account will have access to Google+ and its features.
This is a significant move for the search engine giant, and something to wary for other social networking giants such as Facebook, Twitter.
Google+ is better than other social networking sites in many ways,
Unlike Facebook’s past privacy issues – it lets the user share what they want to whom they want with the help of circles, users can share posts more broadly, with everyone or completely public.
Completely public posts will be visible to anyone who visits your profile.
Adding new friends to Circles is very easy, just drag and drop your friends from your friend list.
Unlike Twitter’s limited text length – Google+ lets the users post texts of unlimited length to any friends.
Google already tried to work its way in social networking with Orkut, which was a success in Brazil and India, but failed to attract users elsewhere.
Larry Page said “Our goal at Google+ is to make sharing on the web like sharing in real life, as well as improve the overall Google experience”
